Dyro’s journey to the upper ranks of the global electronic music scene has been fast and swift, marking him out amongst his peers as one of the most talented DJ/producers to emerge from what was an explosive new generation of artists. Starting out tipped by the likes of Hardwell, Laidback Luke and Pete Tong, he soon garnered the attention of Diplo, Knife Party and Martin Garrix amongst others. Fast forward just a few short years and Dyro exploded as an entity in his own right, marking his steps in history by becoming the youngest ever highest entry in the acclaimed DJ Mag Top 100 poll, remaining in the top 30 echelons of this prestigious list for three consecutive years. With collaborations ranging from Hardwell to Martin Garrix and Tiesto, Dyro continued on to elevate his strong, stable output, talent and tastemakers witnessed this enigmatic young DJ come of age, as he proceeded to take the world by storm.
Starting out on an upward trajectory ever since his inaugural releases on Revealed Recordings, Dyro continuously crafted and developed his sound and personal tastes via darker and more experimental strains of electronic music. The launch of his solo imprint WOLV saw Dyro further hone his original take on driving bass lines and grittier sounds, to now be a welcomed guest as part of the STMPD RCRDS family. Not one to follow popular conventions or expectations Dyro’s continuous growth and development to sooth his creative urges has taken on new levels in 2020; the year that left everyone without their regular creative outlets, has pushed Dyro’s creativity into new and unexpected areas. Next to bulking the STMPD RCRDS catalogue with steady dance floor stompers ‘Mind The Grind’, ‘Warp Speed’, ‘Hella Dope’, and ‘Bombai’, his remix for John K’s - ‘Happiness’ saw him give a first taste of the extension of his already impressive arsenal of production skills. Diving into 2021 with his remix for Julian Calor’s ‘Moving Forward’, and following-up to much fan appraise with ‘Memory Bank’ hitting hard with a massive feature in Rocket League. Dyro is now gearing up for his last few surprises of the year.
Looking back, his tour schedule outlines a vast constellation that spans the galaxy’s biggest and best festivals, clubs and most tuned-into livestreams. From headline appearances that include London’s Ministry of Sound, the iconic Pacha NYC and double-digit Asian and US tours, Dyro has earned mainstage slots at star-studded festivals that include Ultra Miami, Tomorrowland, Sunburn Goa, Dance Valley, New York’s Electric Zoo, TomorrowWorld, Creamfields and EDC events across the US, taking his music around the globe promoting his unique, forward-thinking and ever developing sound to signify the reason for his explosive growth onto the scene and more importantly, the vast ground he seems determined yet to cover.
At this stage it is no longer surprising that Dyro headlines sold-out shows the world over and boasts an exceptional back catalogue overflowing with quality, however it’s clear the best is yet to come for this talented Dutchman.
